My plan is to blast the thing with plasti-dip to slow down the rusting. I will take it panel by panel to restore it, re-plasti-dip until done then give it a proper painting

Your going to want to at least sand down the rust before you do that. It will just make it worse if not.

From the last post you put up with pictures of the rust, I wouldn’t bother. It’s too bad I’m busy Saturday, because I’m up on the North Shore and I’d humor you and go look at it.
The body rust is not the scary part. The frame on a truck like this, with body rust like that, could be toast. It’s like a house, you want a good foundation.

Yeah honestly that looks like it may be in worse shape than mine was. Body and frame rusted apart around the drivetrain. Frame was more C shaped than square :(
315k miles though.
